Autumn Tango Boost — WS-2 Understanding and improving turns with Veronica Toumanova

---------------------------------------------------------------------- “AUTUMN TANGO - BOOST” ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 Workshops with Veronica Toumanova ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 15:00 – WS-1 "Posture and dissociation for pivots": (both roles, all levels) In this class we will look into what it means to dissociate effectively for front and back pivots, as well as for leading circular dynamics like giros. We will make sure dissociation doesn't harm our back and also explore how the spiral connects the upper and the lower body. (please bring a pair of socks for the warming-up part!) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:45 – WS-2 "Understanding and improving turns": (followers intermediate/advanced) In this class we will look into the correct technique for dancing salon style turns (giros) using the dissociating technique. We will look into the giro code for the follower and how to create the right dynamic for the acceleration on the followers' back step. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:30 – WS-3 "Back sacada and turbo-pivots": (followers or both roles, advanced) In this class we will take the dissociation technique to the extreme by working on the so called "turbo pivots" that we can use for back and front sacadas, as well as for ganchos. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Interested men, followers or also leaders are of course equally welcome! Because as a leader you also benefit from the skills of WS-2!
