La Pratica di Tango y Nuevo — Volcadas y Colgadas
VOLCADAS AND COLGADAS: BEAUTY, TECHNIQUE AND POSTURAL AWARENESS
Volcadas and Colgadas are fascinating movements of Tango Nuevo, characterized by significant shifts of the body's axis and a particular play of balance and connection between partners.
But behind the beauty of these figures lies a fundamental aspect: the biomechanics of movement.
When the woman moves out of her vertical axis, the spine, particularly the lumbar region, can be subjected to significant stress. Without proper muscular preparation, conscious weight management, and adequate technique, these movements can generate overloads and tension.
This is exactly where my experience in postural study and correction comes into play.
Through the Barreras Method, we will work not only on the execution of the figures, but above all on the understanding of movement, balance, the management of body axes, and the protection of the back.
It is not just about learning a figure, but about understanding how to perform it, respecting the body and its possibilities.
An intensive practice to dance with greater awareness, technique, and freedom.
